Four Queens Hotel and Casino
Four Queens is a hotel and casino located in Las Vegas, Nevada, on the famous Fremont Street. Built in 1956, the hotel is now 50 years old and still running. Currently it has 690 rooms, and is owned and operated by TLC Entertainment.
History of Four Queens
Construction of a new hotel and casino in Fremont Street began in 1964 when builder Ben Goffstein broke ground on The Four Queens. The resort was completed in 1966 and boasted 120 rooms and a 20 000 square foot casino floor complete with all the modern casino games at the time. In 1972 the casino was sold to the Elisnore Corporation who had interests in several other hotels and casinos around the country. In 1995 Elisnore filed for bankruptcy and the casino changed hands to TLC Entertainment who still own and run it today. Only one notable expansion took place, and that was in 1976 when it added many rooms and expanded the casino floor to 33 000 square feet. In 2007 the Canyon Club opened up at the Four Queens and was the first downtown casino club to open in Las Vegas.
